What is Multiple Intelligence?

The theory of MI was given by Howard Gardner, an American psychologist in 1983 in his book, Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences. There are several ways of processing information. It focusses on a wide spectrum of abilities. It helps teaching in multiple ways.

  • It helps to expand our horizon of available teaching & learning tools beyond the conventional linguistic and logical methods.
  • Helps educators think differently about IQ.
  • Individualize the teaching style (to suit the most effective method for each student)
  • Pluralize the teaching (teach important materials in multiple ways)

One can teach or learn any concept like Numbers, Colors, Shapes, Alphabet, Birds, Animals, Vegetables, Fruits, Flowers, Working people etc.

This webinar provided an idea about Multiple Intelligence and how it can be used as an approach to teach any concept and practically help the child as much as possible to manage the difficulties.
